An almost-working app for an almost-valuable experience. The service does very little more than turning things on or off, and it lacks most of the intelligence or automation capabilities of other smart home solutions. One can't even make it turn on a light when a camera detects motion. The app itself is very buggy, e.g. once added, certain devices can't ever be removed, and navigation is clumsy. All in all, this looks more like an early test than a fully-baked product.

Garbage UI. If you change anything in settings, it takes you back to the main menu every time you turn something on or off (try disabling/enabling multiple notifications in settings). Go and disable a skill, and once again you are taken back to the main menu. Further, often, hitting back does not take yo to the previous menu — it takes you to your home screen. Such a tedious app. Extremely disrespectful of your time.

One of the buggiest apps I've ever used. I'd normally uninstall but I've found Alexa speakers to be quite good (just the app is trash). Anytime I make a change to anything, the app stops working. Force stopping the app works sometimes, but normally I have to restart my phone to get the app to work again. Google Home is a far better app, but Google speakers are buggy. Too bad Google Home can't control Alexa speakers; best of both companies that way.

What's new
Our new design has made it easier to access your favorite features and devices. The Home page offers quick access to smart home controls, Echo management, and numerous Alexa features. The Devices page offers customizable views to manage your devices.
