I've actually only watched 7 and have not played much of it yet. Difference was that my gf was playing it and I was helping her with stuff and doing lore dumps when there were old chracters in the story.

The fighting system in Yakuza sucks so all you have left are the cutscenes. 99% of big games released today can be youtube'd without missing a single thing.

They're 16-20ish hours max if you don't touch side content, another 10-30 if you touch substories. Anything longer than that is 100% territory and even then most games are 80 hours. The vast majority of people don't even fight Amon let alone go for 100% so these games are not even remotely long for the majority of people.
