When people ask me why they should care about hacktivists. I like to remind them there are hundreds of highly motivated groups who have who knows how many members.
They have massive intent to cause disruption and are constantly getting improved capabilities like ransomware.
Should hacktivists be at the top of your threat matrix? Maybe not, but if you aren't at least aware of what they are up to you are missing a decent amount of the threat landscape.
