私たちにとって非常に思い入れのある、ここ東京・恵比寿で開催される「Artisanal 2024」のエクスペリエンスに、皆さまをお招きできることを嬉しく思います。
ここでご覧になるものに没頭してください。意識を巡らせ、その瞬間に立ち会い、今まではスクリーンの中でしか見たことのなかったものを、ご自身の目で目撃してください。
このオーディオガイドがショーの道しるべとなり、メゾン マルジェラのアトリエへ、つまり私たちのクリエイティビティの原動力であるイマジネーションが現実となるパリの実験的オートクチュールラボラトリーへと、あなたを誘うことを願っています。
私がこの体験、つまりこの多角的な解析に基づくエキシビションを創り上げたのは、2024年「アーティザナル」コレクションに生命を吹き込んだストーリーテリングと技術的専門知識を、世界中にある私たちのコミュニティと個人的に分かち合いたいという思いからです。
ご覧いただくのは、今年の1月に発表した「アーティザナル」ショーの、ポスト・モーテム（事後解剖）です。このショーは、パリのアンダーグラウンド、アレクサンドル3世橋の下で、セーヌ川の滑らかな水面に映るウルフムーンの銀色の光を浴びながら開催されました。
エキシビションの中にある、キャビネット・オブ・キュリオシティ（好奇心のキャビネット）のように、私たちはこの「アーティザナル」のストーリーを構成するあらゆる要素を解剖し、それらを大量の比喩的な顕微鏡の下に置くことで、完成されたイメージを生み出すテクニック、ディテール、イリュージョンを明らかにします。
メゾン マルジェラに脈々と流れる先駆的なクチュールの中に、私の心を揺さぶったインスピレーション、キャラクター、そしてそれらが具現化した姿をご覧いただけます。

I’m delighted to welcome people to Maison Margiela’s Artisanal 2024 experience staged here in our Ebisu boutique in Tokyo, a place ever so dear to our hearts.
I invite you to immerse yourself in what you’re about to see: to be conscious, present in the moment, and witness with your own eyes what you may only have seen on a screen, until now.
It’s my hope that this soundscape might help to guide you through the show; to absorb you into the Artisanal ateliers of Maison Margiela, our experimental haute couture laboratory in Paris where the imagination that drive our creativity turns into reality.
I created this experience – this multi-disciplinary exhibition – with the desire to personally share with our communities around the world the storytelling and technical expertise that brought the Artisanal 2024 to life.
What you will see is a post-mortem of the show we presented this January, in the underbelly of Paris, below Pont Alexandre III, bathed in the silver light of a Wolf Moon reflected in the oily surface of the River Seine.
Like a cabinet of curiosities, we dissect all the elements of our story and place them under a wealth of figurative microscopes to reveal the techniques, details and illusions that create the complete image.
You will see the initial inspirations that triggered my mind, the characters it conceived, and the way they materialized through the cutting-edge couture that courses through the veins of Maison Margiela.
