Kubota Rikuto (久保田陸斗), also known by the stage names Rin (りん) and Rintaro (りんたろう), is a former member of Meles.

He debuted as a member of a seven-member underground idol boy group in October 2022 and graduated from the group in the fall of 2023.^[1]

On October 28, 2024, he was apprehended and arrested by the police in Tokyo as he was on the wanted list (since October 27) and believed to be the perpetrator of a robbery and assault case (in which a group of men broke into a house and kidnapped a woman) that took place the same month in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture. According to investigators, security camera footage suggested that he may also be involved in a robbery and murder case in Aoba Ward, Yokohama.^[2][3][4] According to investigators, when Kubota posted a message seeking new work on X (formerly Twitter), the person in charge (of the robbery) contacted him, and he was directed to the highly confidential communication app "Signal". The prefectural police believed that the person in charge found people who were likely to take on the role of perpetrators on a social networking site and recruited them for "illegal part-time jobs".^[5] All in all, the police believed that he had been involved in at least three incidents.^[6]
