ABB Names Wierod as New CEO to Replace Rosengren From August

ABB Ltd. has appointed a new chief executive to replace Björn Rosengren, who has led the industrial giant through an overhaul including divestments to streamline operations and lift profit.

Morten Wierod, 52, who currently leads ABB’s electrification unit, will take over on Aug. 1, the day after Rosengren steps down, the Swiss company saidBloomberg Terminal Friday. The outgoing CEO will remain with ABB until the end of the year to help with the transition.
