Nov 2024 update on this excellent phone:
I sold the note 10 that I have had since 2019, the charge port was not 100% reliable after all those years. Got 150eur.
Bought a locked note 10, that had not been used a lot, it looked like new really, and also bought a new Samsung original LED clear view book cover for the phone. These are fantastic covers, and can be found very cheap since the phone is old. Now my colleagues are jealous of the "new"phone I have with led clock on the cover, notifications etc, I tell them it's a 5 year old phone they don't believe me.
With the new note 10,I don't need to use battery saving mode, so for phones that have seen little use, the battery is still good.
Even with a new battery installed on the old note 10,I had to use battery saving mode,I don't understand why it's like this, but I'm happy with a full functioning note 10 again.
GPS always on drains the battery fast, so switch it off when not needed.
Finally, these phones can be found new or second hand with little usage at low prices. Buy them and sell the old phone,
rather than change battery or screen on your existing note 10.
Samsung s24 ultra still in the drawer, i must sell it.

I've had this phone for 2 years now and I love it. It's so hardy and reliable. I see people discussing the battery life and I'm not experiencing any issues, however I always have it on power saving mode. I've also turned on the battery protector setting so that it only charges to 85%. I only charge to 100 when I have a very busy day or I'm going to a concert or festival just to be safe. I really recommend this phone and I know I'm going to keep it for several more years. It charges quickly, has a good camera, and is really good value for money. I don't believe it is worth it to buy any other Samsung that is 2x or 3x the price of this one. There's no way they're 2-3× better. I love you Samsung galaxy note 10.

Mid october 2024 It would make 5 years on using this phone
I have changed front display ( friend threw my phone in the pool) and changed battery twice.
The phone is excellent only problem that i have been facing around 2 years is battery. The chipset now can't sustain the battery even if you get a new one and that too on a power saving mode. I used to miss the max power saving mode that was provided earlier. No complains from the set other than battery, i have to be extra careful if am going out socially to max out my charging to be able to book a return cab. I got attached to my red colored note 10 and more since it got ditched after 10 series. Now switching to iphone 16 since not able to carry for any social gattering without power bank

I have started to notice the battery problem more or less around the same time that I change cars and this new one has android auto. The battery just goes out of the window when connected to the car. I am now considering to buy the google pixel 8 since its more or less the same size and has better specs but I like this one so much due ti its size and weight. :\

So Aug 2024 update here. I've had most samsung phones, lastly the Samsung S24 Ultra, but they all went to the drawer, and I keep using my Note 10. Weight and size of this phone is fantastic. However the last 2 years I had to use the battery saving mode to have acceptable battery, but albeit slightly slower in use, it was still much preferred over all those other phones I got from my company. I decided to switch the battery on my Note10 this summer, and it got slightly better, or at least more reliable, but I still have to run it in battery savings mode for a full day of usage. This phone is so good, that I have now bought a second hand one to use as backup in case my phone fails. So all those high end samsungs are in the drawer, but the Note 10 keeps being used. The low weight of 168 grams can not be beaten it looks like in modern phones, together with a thin profile and smaller form factor that fits in the pocket. I have no idea why Samsung is not updating this design and sells it again with a new name, it would be a winner.

This phone is still awesome in 2024. Still runs games like codm, freefire, pubgm smoothly. Sadly it has a 3500 mAh battery.

Imagine if Samsung used the same chassis for the vanilla S24 model. It would easily be the best selling phone of 2024. Basically, same phone with a 90Hz display, updated battery management and internals, and slightly better cameras. Killer.

I still use this phone as my daily driver. Works smoothly, COD-Mobile on the Exynos phone is laggy but playable. On Stock ROM, the battery is fine I guess, on LineageOS (with some mods) you easily get multiple days of battery life on light use (some browsing, wifi-only, Whatsapp, yadayada). Phone also goes warm quite quickly on Stock ROM, it doesn't burn your fingers though. On most custom ROMs it stays cool almost always

Terrible phone, I wont buy any samsung phone again. Poor radio, can't manage bands properly. If there is poor signal, data transfer hangs for a while, before connect to the other station. In this time phone's getting hot. Display faded into green shade after 2 and a half years of use.

After 4 Years I didn't notice any battery lifetime change. Now it still has 3500 mAh. Only Camera quality became lower, or in comparison with other versions. S Pen still works. Very pleased with this buy.

You need to manually disable all apps you don't use (except system ans strictly necessary apps), restrict use of battery and disable background data usage. Put all apps you don't use at all on Deep Sleep and the ones you use once in a while in Sleep Mode.
Disable animations or use the fastest possible (x0.5 on developer options).
Try to disable all kinds of auto-search of mobile 4G network. Pick the one you use manually and keep it.
Bluetooth and WiFi auto-scan is also another draining feature that you can disable.
The only auto-scan/auto-search you must keep on is Google Location Accuracy and History, mostly in case you use your phone outside and in case of being theft, you can block it remotely.
Aways on display and fingerprint aways on are also drains battery. Use only if its essential for you.
I don't remember what else I did on my Note10, but battery life is much better after the changes I did.

Blaq, 21 Aug 2023How about the battery life. How many hours do you have on a single charge with and without dat... moreIt depends A LOT of many factors. If you're a gamer, then you'll drain the battery in 5 hours or so. If you stress it too much with tons using multiple CPU and RAM comsuming apps, it will become hot and start to throtle until you get a warning notification.
With that said, you should evaluate:
1) Your averarge daily usage.
2) How much you stress the phone, be with gaming or heavy/demanding apps.
3) How many of the pre-installed and useless apps you disabled, restricted the battery usage, put in deep sleep and disabled "background data usage".
I don't game on my Note10 and uses mainly for daily tasks and photography, so I can squeeze the battery for up to 10 hours without even using the "power saving" or any other feature to preserve battery. At least one charge per day is mandatory.
Sometimes I use the phone a lot and the battery lasts for 8h or 9h and charging are necessary.
I never used the phone for enough time without any mobile data or WIFI, so I can't help you with this part, sorry.
If you're going to get one and use offline only, go for it. It's an insane phone with amazing specs and performance. The only way to get better is buying a Note10+, so you will get a way bigger phone with 2K AMOLED screen, 12GB RAM by default, MicroSD slot, a TOF 3D Camera and 45W fast charging.

I just received mine today, paid $220 (converted value from Brazilian Real to US Dolar) for a second hand phone from an authorized store (not Samsung store). What a monster of phone! No burn-ins, no scratches, only minor details of normal usage. I don't know how to check battery health, but during config of Google and other apps, the phone heated a lot, around 38ºC and has signals of thermal throttling. I stopped using and let it on airplane mode until it cooled a bit.
I've been using phones with screen from 6.67" to 6.8" and holding a 6.3" phone makes me feel like I'm using a toy.
Unfortunately, battery life of phones from 2018/2019 isn't as solid in comparison to most phones nowadays, only rare exceptions. It's crazy to see how technology improved A LOT in 4 years. We had 25W charging reserved for flagship phones like this and now, tons of midrange phones has suport to up to 22,5/25/30/33W charging.
