VIETNAM & AUSTRALIA SHARING EXPERIENCES IN DEVELOPING THE ELECTRICITY LAW ⚡🤝🎯 🟧 On May 27, #ERAV collaborated with the Australian Embassy, the Australian Energy Regulator (#AER) and the Partnership for Infrastructure (#P4I) to organize a workshop to discuss and implement cooperation activities following the signing of the MoU on cooperation in developing a competitive #electricity_market between the Australian Embassy and ERAV; and to take advantage of the opportunity of the presence of some AER experts and some Australian experts in Vietnam to exchange and share experiences in the process of building the #Electricity_Law. 🟧 During the meeting, both sides discussed and identified priority areas for cooperation in 2024 and beyond. In recent decades, these diseases have significantly contributed to global morbidity and mortality. Currently, liver transplantation remains the most effective treatment for hepatic disorders. Nucleic acid therapeutics offer a selective approach to disease treatment through diverse mechanisms, enabling the regulation of relevant genes and providing a novel therapeutic avenue for hepatic disorders. It is expected that nucleic acid drugs will emerge as the third generation of pharmaceuticals, succeeding small molecule drugs and antibody drugs. Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) represent a crucial technology in the field of drug delivery and constitute a significant advancement in gene therapies. Nucleic acids encapsulated in LNPs are shielded from the degradation of enzymes and effectively delivered to cells, where they are released and regulate specific genes. Founded by Dr. Tse-Wen Chang, Immunwork announced today that the latest developmental progress of two clinical-stage peptide drugs, including one weight loss drug which possesses ultra-long-acting potential. One of the two drugs, TE-8105, is for obesity (including weight management), type 2 diabetes, and fatty liver. The other drug, TE-8214, is for treating acromegaly and neuroendocrine tumor symptoms. Both of them received approval from the Australian Human Research Ethics Committee for human trials in May of this year. The low-dose cohort has been successfully dosed, with good drug tolerance and no significant side effects reported so far. He wondered what they looked like and what events shaped their lives.. Like a young archaeologist, he blended the facts he gathered from books with his imagination, crafting his own vision of the past. As a young man, his curiosity turned to the future. TSMC plans to raise prices for its 3nm and 5nm process manufacturing by 3% to 8% next year. This decision is driven by the need to cover rising costs and maintain its impressive 53% gross profit margin. 🤝 #PolyU has entered into a formal collaboration with Axis Therapeutics, co-establishing the PolyU-Axis Therapeutics Joint Laboratory for Immunotherapy. The aim is to foster cancer immunotherapy research and development and to improve cancer treatment for patients in Hong Kong. Landslide in Ha Giang: Priority given to finding missing people and rescuing injured people In Ha Giang, a landslide near National Highway 2 has claimed three lives and left three people missing as of September 30. Heavy rainfall, exceeding 600 mm in Bac Quang district over two days, has hampered rescue operations, affecting families like Mr. Quoc Anh, whose mother is missing, and whose father is seriously injured. Rescue teams are prioritizing locating the missing and helping the injured. Eighteen households have been evacuated for safety, while hundreds await updates on search efforts. The landslide deposited around 30,000 cubic meters of debris on National Highway 2, obstructing traffic and road clearance efforts. The Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee has deployed hundreds of personnel to expedite search and rescue operations. Forecasts predict continuing rain, with an additional 100 mm expected in some areas, increasing the risk of further landslides and flash floods in Ha Giang and neighboring northern provinces. I posted this on my private page but it should be on Tachi Aoi's as well. The only other point to be made in addition to my points (and the article David Milstein has posted) as to why Tachi-Aoi needs to be a women-centric incubator is that the data on educating women and girls in situations in which they will feel possible psychological or emotional intimidation (even if that is a projection rather than externally created) from men, demonstrate women do statistically significantly better in single gender environments. The data is not even debatable. Perhaps at some point in the future these points-- the harrassment and feeling of psychological safety-- will cease to be issues-- but they are serious issues NOW and thus Tachi Aoi is needed NOW. That is what we care about today. And we need you. If you care about Japanese society, the role of women in society and the need for strong women leaders in Japan, please support us. We are a non profit. We are not in this to make money but because it is the right and proper thing to do. We hope you will think so too.

The challenge is to maintain the low levels over time without jeopardizing machine efficiency. Mills with a similar design and production do not necessarily reach the same low levels in the long run due to the quality of the incoming fresh water. Valmet can support the independent evaluation of each mill, and we have thus accomplished a substantial reduction by challenging the traditional cooling system, the type of sealings in process equipment, the water used for chemical dilution, and how to reuse water. Valmet has worked on reducing the water consumption in tissue making for decades. Kaji Hisayo and her family in Kawai-cho are also affected, using a portable stove and cooler due to damaged appliances. She expresses frustration over the chaotic disaster response and the lack of community support during their localized suffering. DPM MEETING ON UPDATE OF PDP8 IMPLEMENTATION PLAN ⚡️🔎🎯 🟧 On July 9, #DPM Ha chaired a nationwide meeting, held both in person and online, to discuss updating the #PDP8_Implementation_Plan. 🟧 DPM Ha asked #MOIT to continue reviewing and updating the PDP8 Implementation Plan to include #solar and #wind power projects that are either compliant or have rectified any violations as determined by inspections and court rulings. These projects must meet criteria related to power system safety, transmission technology, and economic efficiency. 🟧 MOIT should also assist local authorities in reviewing and reporting additional solar and wind power projects that incorporate #BESS, #waste_to_energy, and #biomass power projects. 🟧 Regarding #wind power projects that overlap with areas designated for mineral exploration and extraction, the DPM suggested resolving the issue by proposing adjustments to both the #PDP8 and the Mineral Exploration and Extraction Plan.
