A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run at a Downtown intersection on Tuesday night, Madison police reported.
The crash happened about 8:35 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of John Nolen Drive and North Shore Drive and kept the intersection shut until shortly after 10 p.m.
The suspect vehicle was located unoccupied/crashed near the scene and the investigation is continuing, Chief Shon Barnes said in his blog Wednesday morning.
No information was provided on the condition of the pedestrian or whether any arrest has been made, and police didn’t immediately respond to a message seeking more information.
Barnes cautions in his blog that his information is “early and preliminary” and can change as the investigation unfolds. Madison police didn’t respond to a request for more information on the incident.
