The Case of the White Man-Asian Female (Tech Bro in Bangkok)
The rise of the trope of a White man in tech, marrying an Asian woman, is one of the most notable cross-racial dynamics of modernity.
Save me your calls of incel, autist (thank you), redpill guru, etc - I am none of those and this article will simply break down the actual dynamics/statistics behind this racial case study, and the implications it may have on broader society as a whole.
Asian women have the highest rate of out-race marriage of any race, compared to Black women, which have the highest loyalty to their race:

On a phenotypical level, Asian men/women tend to have more neotenous features, leaning more towards K in the r/k selection theoretical framework. Less offspring, longer investment into offspring, this means Asian women by default appear more feminine to other races, and Asian men appear less masculine to other races - note the lowered ratings of Asian men from all other races besides their own (RIP ricecels)
However, Asian women notably have the highest levels of ratings when exposed to all races (and highest for Whites over their OWN race), further reinforcing this hypothesis in action. The male mind tends to select for beauty and youth, and with the lowered rates of aging noted among Asian phenotypes, alongside the skinnier (on average), more feminine features of Asian women - there is no wonder why this is indeed the case.
"Young people throughout the U.S. who are part White and part East Asian have increasingly embraced Hapa as a marker of their identity, though some Hawaiian activists have criticized this as an example of “cultural appropriation. It is worth noting that Black-White biracials in the U.S. likely have a White mother, whereas Asian-White biracials are likely to have a White father. ” - Dutton
A long 4chan joke has been that if one is white and male and has exhausted himself of modernity, a quick trip to Asia would remedy such loneliness. Why that is the case boils down to several other selection biases that make this pairing oh so common today:

Economic status - the one true selector

Sadly, white skin, as well as being from a Western country, are signifiers of wealth, cultural superiority (not my words, nor my belief), and a much better future for one's offspring in Asia. One notes that the beauty ideals of the West (curves, thick lips, Kardashian hips, tan), are in odds with the Eastern values of beauty (thinness, pale skin, long hair, double eyelids, big eyes). However, these Eastern values of beauty thus lead to the White male having a superior positioning against their Asian counterparts in the dating field, leading to the phenomenon we must come to grips with in the 21st century.
It is notable that the percentage of Asian women marrying outside of their race rivals every other race in the USA, with 36% of women choosing to marry outside their race, compared to the lowest being White women at 10%:

However, the highest White intermarriage is actually with Hispanics within the USA, which may be explained due to the genetic similarities in the Hispanic diaspora in the North Americas due to colonialization by European empires in previous centuries (Spain/Portugal).
"Consistent with this, according to 2008 data, 39.5 percent of Asian American women marry people of a different race—76 percent of these to Whites—compared to 19.5 percent of Asian American males who do so. Among African-Americans, this relationship is reversed: 22 percent of Black males marry someone of a different race (in 57 percent of cases to White women), compared to 8.9 percent of African-American women (58 percent of these cases to White men).”

Understanding the stereotypes of the "tech bro"

Considering that women are attracted to danger, anticipation, charisma, humor, and genetic markers such as height, good facial features (low toxins in the blood/low genetic mutational load), why then, does the Tech Bro/Asian Wife stereotype emerge?
Without empirical evidence, one must study the career path of tech bros - it is a long, arduous grind of many days, nights and weekends spent on a startup or Venture Capital firm, leading to a focus on financial acumen and accumulation, as opposed to developing skills in manners that might be more attractive to the fairer sex.
It means a lifestyle spent on the K-strategy, on a longer-term life strategy of career and finance, which as noted above, falls in line with the RK selection theory and how Asian races tend towards the K-strategy in their respective societies (Japan, Taiwan, China, Korea). Thus, viewing this strategy in the lens of sexual selection, the WMAF pairing begins to make much more sense.
It is a confluence of factors:
  • Societal values of marrying for status and for wealth are combined into the Asian female desiring a partner that can elevate her status (societal/financial)
  • Asian beauty values of fair skin and Western bias then combine into a tech bro who is 6'2 but awkward with women and has little time to rizzmax or chadmax in order to find a mate
  • Asian female behaviour tends to skew towards the longer term life strategy, being able to withstand the partner's sacrifice of long working hours and being put in second place over a career/business/tech startup
  • Females as a whole are known for "marrying up" their status on the socioeconomic level, thus further fuelling this thesis
And thus, the curious case of the Tech Bro with an Asian Wife is solved.

The Age of Hapas and the birth of a depressed race?

What are the implications for broad-spectrum race mixing between White Males and Asian Females?
Will this spring forth the new Kalergi, or the new Elliott Rodgers? (Both White with Asian mothers)
It is noted that mixed-race children tend to have higher levels of depression, with nearly twice the percentage within mixed-race high school students compared to single-race children. However, the data on this is not selected for socioeconomic factors, which would garner a much better understanding on whether this data is simply due to economic factors, or is a genetic factor as a whole.
Notably, the divorce rate of White Male/Asian Female pairings is less than White/White or White/Black, also reflecting well on the K strategy theory + Western bias theory shared above.
Many may wonder why this pairing exists. Well, with some simple analysis, and quick statistics, it is easily understood.
I do not expect this trend to end anytime soon, rather accelerate due to the reflexive nature of societal trends.
