Gernhardt would excel in Old Saybrook office
Steve Gernhardt has been a resident of Old Saybrook for more than 40 years, where he and his wife Diana are raising twin children. Steve was educated in the Old Saybrook schools and worked his way through college, receiving a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in inorganic chemistry. He worked for the largest pharmaceutical company in the world for 15 years as a bio-analytical chemist, where he received the coveted Pfizer Global Research and Development Achievement Award.
Steve's experience working with teams and his expertise in analyzing and resolving complex problems will serve us well with him as Selectman. Steve's work ethic and dedication to community are evident as an active member of the Goodwin School events.
Steve is a member of the Old Saybrook Historical Society, holding the chair position for the building and maintenance for the William Hart House, initiating the recent extension and structural preservation project. Steve will be a positive addition to Carol Manning's selectman experience. The Manning/Gernhardt team will provide Old Saybrook with strong, positive, compassionate leadership for our future. Voters should select the Manning/Gernhardt team on Nov. 8.
