OK so this is the dreaded 1002 error message from doing a bit of net researching. So apple make products that are completely crap, period. This phone has been kept perfectly and has never been dropped in anyway, never jailbroken, nothing nada... and now I'm being told there's a hardware issue. It's 5 months OLD!

In the immortal words of the floyd 'is there anybody in there?' - Steve! are you going to help me here or what..????

This is a user to user support forum only. Apple only moderate the discussions; they do not actively participate in them. If no one has posted a response it's because we don't know the answer. Perhaps a trip to the Genius bar might be in order. Steve [Jobs] has yet to make an appearance here 🙂

It's unfortunate that you're having problems with your device. It's not nice, but these things happen. Hopefully the Apple Genius will resolve the problem.

OK guys thanks for all your replies I'm much obliged.

I must say that yesterday I was particularly upset about the whole iphone thing... very attached to this material object!!!

So now I must apologies for my rudeness and abrasiveness, I spoke to an excellent customer support guy in Apple Cork who basically spoke sence to me regarding warrenty etc.

Frustration led to a short fuse...

Thanks Barry, I hope you get a promotion. You handled this mental customer very well!!
