We are excited to announce that Dr. Stefano Merlin, an Italian pioneer in environmental science, climate change, and renewable energy, is establishing his new company at QSTP! Dr. Stefano, who holds a PhD in Biology and Ecology of climate change from the University of Aveiro in Portugal, is the founder of multiple renewable energy companies and a recognized expert in carbon credits. He first visited us to give an inspiring lecture on sustainability. With over 25 years of experience, he is also the co-author of several books, including Biodiversity and Social Carbon. We are proud to support his journey as he focuses on innovative green solutions at QSTP. “Focus on Wellness” was a huge success! We are grateful to everyone who joined us for a day dedicated to World Sight Day and Women’s Cancer Awareness. A big thank you to our amazing partners from Qatar Foundation Occupational Health Department, Qatar Cancer Society , Al-Ahli Hospital , Korean Medical Center, Hamad Medical Corporation AL JABER OPTICIANS and Apex Health. for helping us make this event possible. Focused on unlocking youth potential, IASP 2024 explored how science parks can help create sustainable economic growth in places like Africa and Asia. #IASPnairobi

#ThisisPakistan🇵🇰🇵🇰 #ThisisQatar🇶🇦🇶🇦 The two-week Qatar Science & Technology Park #QSTP Global Link Program concluded today, featuring participation from five top IT companies from Pakistan: Adlytic AI, Aridian Technologies LLC, Digifloat, Shispare and Bilytica. A fruitful journey of exploration, collaboration, and innovation! Over the course of the program, the startups engaged with key organizations like the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council, Snoonu and Invest Qatar . They also visited Wasata Financial Securities in Msheireb, accompanied by the local startup Naseh - نــاصــح. An academic tour took the startups to Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar,and The University of Doha for Science and Technology. The startups explored research initiatives, programs, and mutual collaboration opportunities. They connected with tech unicorns like GPTBots.ai, Tashab, UISEE, Fatora, Avey, and MICEtribe from the QSTP ecosystem. We concluded our two-week long Global Innovation Link - Pakistan edition with a lecture by Bilytica global leader in data analytics and business intelligence. Participants learned about how workforce stress costs world economies billions in lost productivity. Bilytica’s HR solution PayPeople can help detect and prevent these stress levels. They met with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council and Snoonu and learned more about the resources available in #Qatar. They also visited Wasata Financial Securities in Msheireb with our local startup Naseh.

Happy to have spent the evening with Oscar Hui and Maysoon R. Zayed exploring the latest robotic innovations, particularly in warehousing, at Qatar Science & Technology Park. Oscar’s demonstration of Nexx's new initiative, iwaas, featuring an AI voice-powered robot, was truly impressive, akin to a real-life Jarvis.
