I'll have to try the jetplate 2 - my 4770K showed rotated CPU-380 clearly better than the supremacy (I only tried the last JP). But I am about to do a retest so it's good timing to try that.

Speaking of rotated orientation, you guys really need to take pictures of what you mean. I opened up the 380i and checked the jetplate orientation and this seemed most logical to me based on that and the 4770k die orientation:

Excuse that ridiculous angle but you get the point.

Yeah that's what I call "rotated" and that worked best for me on z87 and x79.

Ya, that makes sense given the jetplate inside. But I have seen a lot of people say the 90 degree orientation is the other way round instead (Koolance writing perpendicular to ram slots is how they describe it). Glad this is settled here, but as I said- pics would be great in the future for each block's orientation during the testing

Hmmm I thought I'd changed my website to include a photo - guess not!

It's the same! Just different design.

Thanks for posting this round up here, Moonman (+rep!).

How comes the Apogee XL performs worse than the HD? To me it looks like it has more microfins, but perhaps the flow inside the waterblock is not optimal or there's a contact issue. I loved TIM photos of SkinneeLabs reviews

Good job there mate! + Rep! Wondering what's the temp difference between normal installation and 90* CCW for the EK Supremacy. Worth the trouble of disassembling the loop (rigid tubing) and reposition the block?

Thanks! I guess I won't be disassembling my loop anytime soon, after all...

delta T is core temp minus water temp.

Thanks for testing! Interesting to see Supremecy tested better than Koolance on one cpu, but near same on the other. I dont think platform differences matter as much as different IHS and different samples of waterblocks. Have seen just as much variance (including my own testing) within similar cpus as across platforms. Not surprising that Sten got Koolance better vs vice versa in this test. Two different samples of waterblocks, slightly different bows, different tims, different mounting pressure, different IHS shapes which make a huge difference as to how the bow affects things.

Nonetheless you can get see the ones that tend to perform best across wide variety of cpus.
