FTX Donates 100 Computers to MOETVT
FTX Digital Markets, the Bahamian subsidiary of FTX Trading Limited Bahamas, solidified its relationship with the Ministry of Education and Technical and Vocational Training by presenting one hundred computers earmarked for teachers to Minister Glenys Hanna Martin on September 22nd at the Ministry’s headquarters, University Drive.
FTX Director Zoe Gibson Bowleg and Vice President Valdez Russell stated that their company, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary, plans to strengthen its affiliation with the Ministry by donating significantly more laptops. They have pledged to distribute 300 more computers to educators throughout The Bahamas in the coming weeks.
Director of Education Marcellus Taylor said that teachers who receive this gift ought to take care of the computers as if they bought them themselves.
Mrs. Gibson Bowleg, who Minister Hanna Martin described as "passionate about education," stated that there is no such thing as a world without teachers. In reply, the Minister thanked FTX for being a good corporate partner, emphasizing that it takes a village to raise a child. She then made a pitch for other corporate partners to join FTX and others in this national education endeavor, adding that education is critical to nation-building.
