Article 2 - ASYNC General Regulations

ASYNC employees on the “Staff” have certain regulations on entering the backrooms. 

Intern - Supervisor, may not enter checkpoint airlock or enter the backrooms under any circumstances unless approved by Executive Director+. 

Manager may go past the checkpoint airlock into the backrooms while being escorted by their individual security. 

Executive - Department Heads and above may go past the airlock and anywhere in the Backrooms without any sort of Security escort.

ASYNC Combative Personnel (S&I) personnel are permitted to go beyond the airlock and secure the perimeter of PPR within 100 studs radius. Security personnel may not exceed exceed and go past 100 studs radius away from PPR surface level vicinity.

Tactical Support Division (TSD) personnel may freely access and enter the backrooms provided they're equipped with an hazmat suit and travel throughout the backrooms.

ASYNC Non-Combative Personnel (R&I, M&E, E&L) personnel are permitted to go beyond the checkpoint lounge and advance to the entrance barricades without security escort and may freely roam inside the area. Personnel may not go beyond decontaminations systems setup around PPR entrance, or any further into the backrooms without security escort. Refer to escort regulations for security escorts. 

ASYNC Management & Administration members may not go past the checkpoint airlock unless there are special circumstances such as hosting & attending guided tours and such.

Probationary Developers and Development Team members are permitted to enter the backrooms without hazmat suit or any security escort and may go out in the backrooms freely on Staff Team and explore as they wish.

Inside of The ASYNC Facility

Surface Level Facility:
Surface Level Facility is the entrance of the Project Phaserunner, consequently having a large amount of space, mini workplaces and resting areas for ASYNC personnel to utilize. All ASYNC personnel, including interns, may access Surface Level Facility.

Topside Facility:
Topside Facility is the place where it can be accessible via staircase from the Surface Level. Topside facility  includes few noticeable zones & places, such as: Shooting range, security zone and a checkpoint lounge ontop of the facility just beside the airlock for personnel. All ASYNC employees may freely take the elevator up to the Topside Facility and may be at the Topside Level freely.

Bottomside Facility:
Bottomside Facility is the main facility of Project Phaserunner. Bottomside Facility can be accessed by taking the elevator from Topside Facility down to Bottomside Facility. Bottomside Facility houses many wings and zones and other such convenient and necessary places, such as the Administration Wing, Recretional Area, Medical Bay, Departmental Spawns & Areas and such other. All ASYNC personnel may freely access Bottomside Facility.

Emergency Tunnels:
Emergency Tunnels is a deserviced area from any use and may not be accessed or entered unless a member of Executive Committee approves entry.

Emergency Shelter:
The emergency shelter has been built to provide shelter and security for facility personnel, intended to protect facility personnel from harm during hostile or entity incursions, or during certain directives or orders mandated by the Executive Committee members.

During emergencies whereas the shelter is closed to provide safety to those inside, the internal and external gates may not be opened under any circumstances until the emergency ends, unless told to open by Department Heads+, Tactical Support Division Operatives, Security & Intervention Security Supervisor+, Corporate Security Enforcement Unit Agents. During situations where blast gates are going to open during emergencies, personnel operating the blast gate must follow a cycle process. External gate must be closed first before opening internal gate, vice versa.

During non-emergencies, the external blast gate must be kept open while the internal blast gate is kept closed and not opened until an emergency occurs.

Emergency Shelter gates may only be operated by Security & Intervention personnel present on-scene.

Departmental Spawns:
Personnel spawns may only be entered by the respective department members themselves. Other departmental members may not enter other departmental spawns unless necessary or to carry out duties, or if authorised by department personnel ranked Supervisor+ in ASYNC.

Personnel may however enter medical bay and management offices freely but may not enter spawns in there. If you're told to leave management offices by CSEU or higher ranking personnel you must comply.

Engineering District & Warehouse:
Engineering District is houses Engineering & Logistics personnel's spawn and it may not be accessed freely by other personnel, refer to Departmental Spawns clause above for more information regarding departmental spawns. The Blast Gate may not be accessed freely and may only be accessed by Clearance Five personnel.

Department members must have an hazmat suit equipped when going past the airlock at checkpoint lounge and into the backrooms.


Management & Administration members on-team are not bound to Protective Wear regulation and are not mandated to wear hazmat suit at any point. However, they must still wear hazmat if they switch to an another departmental team.


Department Heads and above do not need to wear protective equipment on any team.

A departments Executive or above do not need to wear their protective equipment for their respective department, but are still required to be in for others.

Expeditions are to be hosted by the R&I, SRD, M&E and E&L Departments. For an expedition to be legal, there must be a minimum of at least 3 (minimum of 1 for joint expeditions) and a maximum of 15 of the respective hosting department present. 


Escorting Expeditions:


For official expeditions, the escorting requirements follow a 5 to 1 ratio between the Department and Security personnel.


5 Department Members - 1 Security (Minimum)

10 Department Members - 2 Security (Minimum)

15 Department Members - 3 Security (Minimum)


Other combative branches (TSD, CSEU, FMU) are able to fill in for security as an escort. Authorized external combatives in the Joint Communications server are also permitted to fill in should no ASYNC affiliated combatives be available to fulfill the requirements after 10 minutes.


Specialized Research Division members may ASYNC escort expeditions if no members of Security & Intervention respond to escort the expedition after 10 minutes.


Spectating Expeditions (And Similar):


Only departmental employees are permitted to spectate an expedition officially, but must have the hosts consent. Spectators do not add to the escorting count. There may only be a maximum of 5 spectators for each expedition, some exceptions apply. 


A maximum of 5 Medical & Examination (excluding the host) members are permitted on the expedition in an official capacity to provide immediate medical aid in the field. In this regard they are part of a separate count. The host of the expedition may dismiss or refuse M&E’s presence at their discretion.


Corporate Security Enforcement Unit employees are permitted to spectate any sort of expedition (or similar) with or without the consent of the host. Additionally, CSEU holds the right to shut down any expeditions (or similar) if they legitimately feel they are unethical, in violation of the Code of Conduct, etc.


Dying:

If any member of the expedition dies, including security escorts, they may return back to the expedition if lifelines are laid down and activately present to help navigate where the expedition had gone to. If no lifeline is present, they may not return back regardless of how confident the individual is about navigating.

Channels that are used by other departments for specific purposes shall not be disturbed by other personnel.

Security & Intervention members who are acting as in official capacity on-duty when retaining public safety and maintaining ASYNC operations are immune to charges of Murder & Manslaughter and Assault & Battery under circumstances where there is a reasonable and just belief that the safety of personnel or theirself is at risk. Validity of murder or assault by Security will be determined by CSEU agents if it is a reported offense. Security members who abuse this authority will be given harsh consequences.

Security & Intervention members may detain individuals who oppose their lawful orders or if they obstruct ASYNC Operations in anyway, provided security officer(s) have Reasonable Suspicion. Prosecutions or arrest should be handed to Corporate Security Enforcement Unit.


Officers of the Tactical Support Division have broader authority over ASYNC Operations during times of emergency, as declared by a department's executive or above. Their combative authority over other combatives from ASYNC may only be overridden and superseded by those belonging to Security & Intervention's Central Command or Sector Management of the Operational Support Branch.

Members of any ASYNC Department, Interns are not permitted to avoid punishment by playing on the 'Survivor' team to disturb and/or ruin major events. This regulation only applies should a disruption of official ASYNC Operations that irreversibly damages or otherwise threatens relations with official Lore factions or Entities take place and such other exclusively major events happening in place. ASYNC Employees on survivor team may not harm or attempt to kill high scale sentient entities for fun and entertainment, aswell as entities who has impact on the lore activately.

Personnel should always use common sense and refrain from harming High Scale Entities listed below or any entity that has active impact on the lore.
