TOKYO -- Toshifumi Suzuki, chairman and CEO of Japanese retail giant Seven & i Holdings, has bowed out after a boardroom revolt against his proposal to oust the president of the group's convenience store unit Seven-Eleven Japan.
In a press conference on Thursday announcing his resignation, Suzuki, who has ruled the sprawling empire for a quarter century, described Ryuichi Isaka as "a snake in my bosom."
