Shia believes in Jafa'ri school of teachings. Wahabi Muslims are a group of fundamentalists and have an orthodox version of Islam. Wahabis in Saudi Arab do not allow their females to work side by side with their men and they also are not allowed to drive a car.
Original Question: What is the difference between Shia and Wahhabi?
Answer:
Based on my findings, I can confidently say that there is no point of similarity between Shia and Wahhabi, but on the contrary, the following are some of the differences between Shi'ism and Wahhabism:
The origin of Shia, according to 1000 reliable historical reports, could be traced back to the lifetime of the noble Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad ibn Abdullah, while the Wahhabism is created in the eighteenth century by British and Europeans and their servants in Arab world.
Shi'ism is nurtured and propagated by the noble Prophet of Islam himself, as he (in several authentic Hadiths) referred to some companions as the partisan of Ali (i.e.Shiatu Ali).
British/ Western Style Wahhabism on the other hand is named after an eighteenth century preacher, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (1703β1792), who started his movement in the remote, sparsely populated region of Najd (the present Saudi Arabia).
The Shia in accordance with the Prophetic directive adhere strictly to the two precious things (Qur'an and the pure Ahl al-Bayt) while the Wahhabi adhere strictly to the practices of the βSalafβ.
Apart from the Qur'an and Hadith, the Shia accept reasoning (βAql) as a very reliable source of Islamic laws but the Wahhabi do not accept this out rightly.
Shia, in accordance with the Prophetic directive believe in the twelve infallible Imams as the legitimate successors to Prophet Muhammad immediately after his demise but the Wahhabi do not accept this at all they agree with MBS-MBE-......
The Shia follow the pure Prophetβs household (Ahl al-Bayt) in both the fundamentals of religion (i.e. Usool ud Deen) and articles of practice (i.e. Furu ud Deen) but the Wahhabi do not refer to the βAhl al-Baytβ in this regard.
