A university student accused of seducing and murdering a male lecturer was in a relationship with a much younger female academic at the same time, a court heard yesterday.
Benjamin Field had a string of other lovers while living with Peter Farquhar, 69, who was one of his English lecturers at the University of Buckingham, Oxford crown court was told.
He is accused of murdering Mr Farquhar and attempting to murder Ann Moore-Martin, 83, who had also become his lover. His final alleged target was Elizabeth Zettl, now 101.
Field, 28, has pleaded guilty to fraud by pretending to be in “genuine and caring relationship” with Mr Farquhar and Ms Moore-Martin to get them to change their wills. The court heard both victims had altered
