Wanna go twice as fast as the Audi? Try This!?
Build lightweight, build for speed.
Build as an alternate model of LEGO 42160 Audi. No additional parts are needed.
For now the renders have other tires because new Audi ones are not yet available in studio. This will be changed when they are available.
Herbie color style also has to wait or maybe using fake parts is an option.
Besides John Deere Skidder another interesting technic set available as we speak. Not much gears but it does have potential.
Audi has a gear ratio of 1,57: 1
Bug has 1: 0,79
This means more speed and still with a reasonable gear reduction for torque. Each rear wheel has its own motor, so no differential is needed on the rear axle. This also means that it will not get stuck so fast.
Dirt Bug
Highly modified Volkswagen Beetle. Only a few bits of the body and frame of the beetle are used. Most of the frame and roll cage is custom made and fitted with a 200+ horsepower engine in the back. Until now only championships in The Netherlands. Spread the word people!
Inspiration: (Herbie The Dirt Bug of Rene Hoep The Netherlands Tripple Winner NK)

It is possible to drive the bug using the Audi Program in the Control + App. But trust me, it drives terrible, Steering is almost all or nothing, and you need to click another button to brake... I recommend using my included program from Powered up, simple and drives way better : )
If you are having troubles with the latest Powered Up Version 4.0.X ? You can download PU 3.11.0 App for Android directly from my Private Drive:
https://l.linklyhq.com/l/1tQuE
Change settings in the app store or clone the app using app cloner to prevent automatic updates later.
Maybe I will also add another program later, when cornering the bug, the inner wheel makes less rotations compared to the outer wheel. Modifying will save tires and unnecessary power (longer playtime with same batteries). Save the enviroment people! This can be programmed easily.
There is a massive sticker sheet available for the Audi, if you wanna knock yourself out with that, looking forward to your stickered version in the moc pictures : )
