Port Chester man charged after car chase By Rocco Parascandola Staff Writer A 30-year-old Port Chester man was arested Friday night after a police chase ended when his pickup truck flipped over on Interstate 287 in Greenburgh, state police and Rye Brook police said.

While on patrol on Westchester Avenue, Rye Brook Police Officer Peter Ramundo detected with radar equipment a red Ford pick-up truck traveling west at 65 miles per hour, police said. Ramundo tried to pull the car over but the driver, later identified as Nicolaie Lisca, 152 Westchester weaved his way through traffic and went through two red lights, Rye Brook police said. Lisca drove onto I-287, followed by Ramundo, and struck two cars, state police said. There were 1 no injuries in the two accidents, and state police said damage to the cars involved was not substantial. When Lisca tried to drive off Exit 5 in Greenburgh, his truck rolled over into a basin of grassy land off the roadway, Ramundo said.

The suspect got out of the truck and ran into the bushes but returned quickly, police said. Ramundo was bit on the left thumb as he apprehended the suspect, Rye Brook police said. United Hospital spokeswoman said he was treated for the bite and released. Lisca was charged with seconddegree assault and driving while intoxicated, police said. He was also charged with criminal impersonation because he twice identified himself as his brother, George Lisca, who owns the truck.

State police said they charged Lisca with leaving the scene of an accident. Lisca is being held at Westchester County Jail in Valhalla on $1,500 bail, Rye Brook police said. A court date has been set for Sept. 9. Suspect charged with more burglaries in New Rochelle By Jeff Campbell Staff Writer A Brooklyn man charged last month with committing 16 burglaries in New Rochelle was charged Friday with three additional burglaries, police said.

Benjamin Pagan, 52, of an unknown address in Brooklyn, was charged in absentia with three counts of second-degree burglary, a felony. All three burglaries occurred July 15, police said, two at 781 Pelham Road and one at 769 Pelham Road. Police said they connected Pagan to the burglaries because a similar method of operation was used in all 19 burglaries and because he admitted stealing an article of bed linen taken in one of the three burglaries. Police said they had connected Pagan to the burglaries earlier but had waited to charge him in the hopes of recovering some of the stolen property. Police said they were unable to recover any of the articles, which were mostly jewelry.

Pagan was being held at the Westchester County Jail Friday. Bail and court information was not available: Pagan was charged July 29 and July 30 with committing 16 burglaries over a nine-month period. The burglaries were all committed in apartment buildings on Pehlam Road, Church Street and Franklin Avenue, police said. He also was charged with attempted first-degree murder, reckless endangerment and attempted assault after he was accused of trying to hit a New Rochelle police officer with his car July 24 when the officer tried to stop him in connection with one of the 16 burgigries. MAMARONECK DWI charged after crash Odell's court date Jorge A. Cerron, 26, of 306 Huguenot New Rochelle, was charged with driving while intoxicated Friday night after he damaged three parked cars in front of 138 Washington police said. Driving his 1984 Mercury east on Washington Street, Cerron lost control of the car and hit a parked 1980 Plymouth, damaging the driver's side door, police said. The two cars parked behind the Plymouth sustained less damage, police said. Cerron, who also received summonses for driving without a license and for driving a car with an expired inspection date, was released on $500 bail.

He is due in court Sept. 3, police said. Queens man charged in bank robbery New York City FBI agents VILLAGE arrested a Queens man Friday in connection with the Aug. 20 theft of $2,500 from a Mamaroneck bank, Mamaroneck Village police said Saturday. Joseph Garro, 42, of Astoria is charged with robbing Citibank, 711 E.

Boston Post Road, police said. FBI officials in New Rochelle could not be reached for comment. The robbery was the second a at that bank. PORT CHESTER Port Chester man faces felony DWI Rudolph Ray 49, of 35 Olivia Port Chester, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle Friday night, police said. When police responded to a minor car accident Ray was involved in by Irv's Stationery, 233 Westchester Ray's breath smelled of alcohol and he had trouble keeping his balance, police said. The DWI charge is a felony because Ray was convicted of DWI last September and his license had been revoked, police said. Ray was released on $100 bail and is due in court Monday, police said. Trejo, 20, of 30 Elizabeth Rye, was treated for leg pain at United Hospital and released Friday afternoon after she was involved in a two-car accident, police and a hospital spokeswoman said. He was driving her 1983 Mercury west on Elizabeth Street when she collided with a 1985 Cadillac southbound on Evergreen Avenue, police said. The other driver, Leslie B. Levy, 42, of 416 Ridgeway, was not hurt, police said. Both cars sustained some damage, but police did not issue any summoses.
