Character design reinterpreted for different parts of the world is always one of my favorite art trends. That and taking characters from medieval fantasy properties and putting them in contemporary casual wear—like Guts and Casca hanging out in modern day decked out in punk and leather.

This is a neat trend going on, I loved the Pokemon x Miku collab from a while ago with all the different types too. Found a thread full of African Mikus!

Mm, Kitkaloid is definitely Swedish, lotsa details in the Swedish Miku. You've got the Ikea instructions ("Sångflicka" means "song girl" and is very in line with Ikea's naming schemes), you've got the Fjällräven backpack, you've got the Kalles kaviar and egg on knäckebröd... don't really know how to feel about the sexy folkdräkt, that's not quite right in my eyes. Also I don't know my folkdräkter well enough to tell if the pattern and colors are from a specific region, I could probably not even recognize a folkdräkt from my own region. Actually, looking again it's probably the national folkdräkt rather than a regional one, it's got the national colors and the prästkrage. Anyways, yeah, that's a very Swedish Miku.
