ジオ・ポンティのD.154.2は、感動と快適さを同時に与える包み込むようにしなやかな輪郭とともに、建築家ポンティの才気煥発を内包しています。このアームチェアはジオ・ポンティが最も大切にしていたプロジェクトのひとつ、カラカスのコレクター、プランチャート夫妻のヴィラ(1953-57) のためにデザインしたもの。

2015年に Molteni&Cが D.154.2 の復刻版を製作しました。オリジナル作品の包み込むような形状が忠実に再現され、ジオ・ポンティのアイコニックなデザインの復刻版はまるで心地よいシェル。硬質ポリウレタンのフレーム、軟質ポリウレタンのカウンターフレームとクッションを備え、張地はMolteni&Cのテキスタイルシリーズを使用。3つの構成部分を区別するオプションもご用意しています。2016 年、このアームチェアは権威あるウォールペーパー・デザイン賞を受賞し、Molteni&C のアイコンとなりました。野外環境での使用を想定して耐候性素材を採用し、D154.2は2023年に発表したMolteni&C初のアウトドアコレクションを代表するデザインに。2024年、D.154.2 はコンパッソ・ドーロ賞キャリア・アワードを受賞しました。

ヴィラ・プランチャートのアイコン

このアイコニックなアームチェアは、アートコレクターのアナラ&アルマンド・プランチャートの私邸であるカラカスのヴィラ・プランチャート(1953-1957)のために制作されたもの。夫妻は建築家とインテリアデザイナーの両方としてジオ・ポンティに全面的なデザインを依頼したのです。ヴィラ・プランチャートは現在、財団と博物館になっており、ジオ・ポンティの才能と、アートとデザインに懸けたプランチャート夫妻の情熱を今日に伝えています。ジオ・ポンティのD.154.2がコンパッソ・ドーロ賞プロダクト・キャリアアワードを受賞したことを記念し、ポンティが果たした質の高いインテリア文化への貢献を永続させるため、Molteni&Cは1950年代にポンティが構想したオリジナルカラーでチェア2脚を特別復刻版として製作。そのうちの1つをベネズエラのカラカスにあるアナラ&アルマンド・プランチャート財団に、もう一方をADI（イタリア工業デザイン協会）に寄贈しました。

ジョヴァンニ・“ジオ”・ポンティ（1891年11月18日ミラノ生まれ、1979年9月16日死去）はイタリアの名建築家の一人である。デザイナー、エッセイストとして20世紀で最も重要な人物の一人でもある。個性的な名建築の他に、彼は様々な家具も創作した。代表作は、「ポンティ」スタイルの家具で整えられたミラノの住宅プロジェクト3件である。1925年にランダッチョ通りに建てられた住宅群、1926年にブリン通りに建てられたカサ・ラポルテ、1957年にデッザ通りに建てられた住宅がそれ。
