Burning Man has set the bar for me in terms of festivals even though it’s so much more than that. There are still no words to fully encompass all the magic that is Burning Man. It’s a city that emerges out of the desert, built by the participants, with art and music, and humanity at its best. Throughout the years, I’ve seen it get tainted by social media and a crowd that only saw it as the best party on the planet. I still think it’s worth going to if you’ve never been. However, I don’t see myself returning to the playa any time soon.
Recently, I went to Medicine Festival in Reading, UK - just one hour away from where I live in London. It was so much more than I could’ve imagined or hoped for. I daresay there isn’t another festival like it and I’d highly recommend flying into the UK just for this festival. So many parts of it brought back similar feelings of being at Burning Man.
