What Oregon leaders are saying about the DMV error that registered 300 non-citizens to vote

The Oregon DMV acknowledged late Friday that it mistakenly registered at least 306 non-citizens as voters since 2021. Of those, only two have cast a vote in any election since 2021, officials with Oregon Driver & Motor Vehicle Services said.

Still, the disclosure concerning the error among Oregon’s 3 million voters raised questions about how non-citizens could slip through Oregon’s system for offering automatic registration to qualified residents.
