We are looking for a Project Procurement Manager to join our client's team as a consultant (full remote, the candidate must be based in Europe / 6-month contract, potentially renewable).
Your Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate negotiations for multiple raw material supply agreements with external vendors;
Lead the entire procurement process, from identifying needs to selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier performance;
Lead project planning activities, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop project schedules to ensure successful execution within established timelines;
Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess both project and supplier performance;
Identify and mitigate risks within procurement projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies;
Manage regular reporting, updates, and escalations on projects, while coordinating discussions with both internal and external stakeholders;
Develop reports, presentations, and readouts to track progress, decisions, and changes effectively.
About You
A Bachelor's degree in Procurement or a related field is required, with a preference for a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, managing procurement processes (direct procurement) and projects. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish long-term partnerships with suppliers are essential.
Excellent analytical skills are needed to assess procurement data and identify opportunities for improvement. A solid understanding of purchasing regulations and best practices in sustainable procurement is also required.
The candidate should be capable of working independently while effectively collaborating with team members and other departments. Project management experience, with a certification being highly desirable, and proficiency in tools such as MS Project are necessary.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey ideas, are crucial.
This role does not involve direct reports but requires close collaboration with various teams, including Procurement, Legal, Finance, and QA across multiple sites.
Fluency in English and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and raw materials are mandatory. The candidate must also be available to start as soon as possible, with a start date in October.
