My name is Shalaka Gannu, and I find myself at a crossroads that I never imagined I would face. With a heavy heart, I am reaching out to you today in desperate need of your support and kindness.

Over the past three years, I've been grappling with a formidable enemy: metastatic breast cancer. What started as a diagnosis in my breast in June 2020 has since spread to my brain, right lung, and left femur bone. The journey, as you can imagine, has taken a heavy toll on my life, and each day is a battle I fight.

When I first felt symptoms and got diagnosed with breast cancer, I took every possible medical step to contain it. From surgical removal of the tumor in the breast to radiation, targeted treatments like Trastuzumab, surgeries for removing brain lesions, and the gamma knife surgery, I've undergone these treatments multiple times due to relapses. The journey has been the most challenging. Despite the exhaustive treatments, recent follow-ups revealed new metastatic lesions in the brain and right lung.

My oncologist has advised further chemotherapy treatment, and though we have strived to cover all expenses till now, we face a financial gap. I urgently need your help to raise Rs. 21,00,000 to meet the upcoming medical costs.

The last three years have tested me in ways I could never have imagined. The treatments, while essential, have taken their toll, not just emotionally and physically but financially as well. While we've managed to shoulder the costs so far, we are now at a juncture where I need help from others.

I have a small, three-member family, and we are dependent on the earnings of just one member. Throughout this journey, they have been my pillar of strength, and it breaks my heart to see them burdened with this financial strain. To ease our financial burden, I have set up this fundraiser to aid my cancer treatment.
