The PSNI has hit back at a report which criticised officers for “disproportionately policing” and “deterring” environmentalists campaigning against goldmining in the Sperrin Mountains.

The report focused on concerns regarding the policing of environmental protesters, known as ‘the protectors’, in the Sperrins.
