Welcome to Scoil Mhuire
Scoil Mhuire is a co-educational Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin diocese.
School staff consists of 20 full-time teachers, 10 special needs assistants, secretary & caretaker. The school aims to serve the primary educational needs of the pupils in the town and parish of Abbeyleix.
We have 3 ASD classes in a new state of the art building named Naomh Bríd in recognition of the Brigidine Sisters. This caters for 18 children from Abbeyleix & the surrounding area.
