Solaria’s former industrial facilities to house 200-MW AI data centre
Sep 04, 2024 11:46 CESTElectrolyser manufacturer Thyssenkrupp Nucera AG & Co KGaA announced today a new reservation agreement for production capacity in the high multi-hundred-megawatt range.
The hydrogen solutions joint venture between German industrial group Thyssenkrupp AG (ETR:TKA) and Italy's Industrie De Nora SpA has agreed to supply standardised 20-MW electrolysis modules for a project in North America. The company did not give more information about the customer or the project itself.

Nucera has already contracted more than 3 GW of capacity, including a more-than-2-GW order from Air Products in Saudi Arabia, a 200-MW project for Shell in the port of Rotterdam, and more than 700 MW for a green steel plant developed by H2 Green Steel. The latter was the first company to sign a reservation agreement with Nucera.
“With our reservation agreement to reserve our production capacities, we enable companies to plan with greater certainty for projects in the megawatt and gigawatt range. With this instrument, we can support our customers in realizing their expansion plans in the fast-growing green hydrogen market,” commented Christoph Noeres, Head of Green Hydrogen at Thyssenkrupp Nucera.
