At Tangity, we believe continuous learning is essential for designers. In our recent workshop at Sapienza Università di Roma, we took it a step further. We explored the concept of "learning to unlearn" – a crucial skill for navigating today's dynamic design landscape dictated by our ability to adapt to fast paced changes. This powerful approach helps designers break free from clichés and biases, challenging preconceived notions with fresh perspectives. Designers can spark their creativity, unlocking innovative solutions and seeing connections differently, resulting in holistic design strategies. The workshop, held for students of the PhD Service Design for Public Sector Design for Public Sector), showcased Tangity's design toolkit in action. |ITALIAN LIGHTING|   – JACO Outdoor Sistema designed by Edmondo Testaguzza for Karman – JACO Outdoor by Karman, a system of poles for the architecture of gardens, avenues, terraces and open spaces with a discreet aesthetic, able to completely blend into the green of the garden given the small size and the natural finish of the color. Anodized aluminum cylinder modules with a beautiful brown mineral finish host – thanks to a circular joint, a spotlight, also in anodized aluminum, which houses a LED module that can be mounted directed upwards or downwards. Despite the small size of the pole (diameter 5 cm), you can stack multiple elements (also of different lengths) to insert multiple spotlights and then illuminate several points with the same vertical element, to create functional configurations for your specific outdoor lighting needs. The repetition of modules of different lengths of CRESCENDO by Luca Pevere gives rise to a series of levels and geometric fretwork useful for interior designers and architects to visually break up vertical surfaces; from the configuration of the three different panels, it is possible to obtain boiserie, ceiling cornices and skirting boards with a rational and contemporary language. Following the matrix, the panels can be cut equally and joined vertically in continuity.

The aim of the project was to visually represent a recipe, more specifically for pasta with sardines. The workflow we used to achieve the final result was step-by-step based. Initially, we read and categorized the recipe into major work actions. Then, we designed a system of symbols for actions performed, ingredients, tools used, and processes. Once that was done, we decided to create a language that would allow us to understand the chronological order of the procedures performed and the duration of each using the "action blocks." In the final phase, we chose to color the symbols to be distinguish them once placed within the grid (page 3). in collaboration with Matteo Rasotto.

Live Architecture (PERFORMING ARTS AND NEW MEDIA STUDIO)                                                                                 This artvideo draws attention to the daily life of students on the main campus of La Sapienza University. It explores the relationships between spaces (architectures), humans, and time and shows how, in the context of time, space and humans communicate with and give meaning to each other.                                                  Concept LA SAPIENZA students were targeted for this project. Inside and outside the university area, students were observed and filmed as they performed their routine tasks. The main concept is to show how different spaces shape the students’ movement and how students can change the identity of the spaces through their presence. In addition, by making the digital reenactment of the students’ movements, who are the spectators of the university, it can be shown how they (with both real and virtual aspects) become the performers, who themselves create and define the architectures and histories through time. This process can allow us to find ourselves back, in our body, in our history, in our culture, and can reconfigure our social position by making us feel connected again in the same environment. 'Texture is man's best friend.' Words by Kengo Kuma.    The film-manifesto 'Softness' (2021, sub. Cristiana Colli, dir. Francesca Molteni, (https://lnkd.in/dJv3Gtm4) gives voice to important architects, artists, philosophers. They are all important protagonists united by the need to create spaces, buildings, structures in which Man can feel at ease, in as optimal a relationship with Nature as possible. It is within this context that Kengo Kuma (KENGO KUMA & ASSOCIATES) defines Texture as 'Humanity's best friend,' juxtaposing it with Form, with which Humanity, in his opinion, has a less intimate relationship. The definition of the famous Japanese architect questions the five senses that humans use to interface with the surrounding environment. Man's well-being greatly depends on the satisfaction of all his senses when he is immersed in nature and in his own creations, the latter made with materials that he himself has identified and selected among the immense offering of Nature since the dawn of time.
