I will first endeavor to answer this question to clarify what Messenger Rooms are in my mind, seemingly because I have not had direct engagements with them.
Messengers Rooms- affords groups of people or friends a meeting link to join a scheduled meeting that offers video and audio interactions, etc.
Now that we understand what Messenger rooms are. It is important to understand what problem its solves or how it helps the users:
- It ensures instantaneous communication, without the need for the participants to commute.
- It affords decorum through hand-raising features etc that allow persons to speak when they are acknowledged
- It allows intercommunication with colleagues in the Room
So I believe the very detail that is fundamental to this problem is understanding the principal goal of Messenger Room.
Principal Goal: To afford seeming-less communication amongst participants in a meeting
The next factor I would like to understand is user behaviour that could potentially impact the success of Messenger rooms as it relates to the principal goal.
In my mind, users behaviour relative to Messenger Rooms can be categorised as follows:

So I will rate (1 being lowest & 5 being highest) each metric based on its ability to achieve the goal we consider under this discussion which was “To afford seeming-less communication amongst participants in a meeting”
The key metrics to evaluate the success of Messenger rooms are
