Estimation:

Pizza 10 inches diameter

~60k inches in a mile

~ earth is 8K miles (equator)

 Equation is:

 Diameter of Earth in miles / (size of Pizza in miles)

 -> size of Pizza in miles

 10 inches / 60K inches/mile

 1/6000 mile

 Equation is:

 8K miles / ( 1/6000 mile) = 48000000

 48000000 = 48M pizzas

Roughly 48M pizzas will be needed to cover the earth at the Equator.
