The mother of 12-year-old Courtney LeBlanc has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact on sexual battery charges. Thirty-two-year-old Jennifer Bordelon was handcuffed and brought to prison Tuesday afternoon by Livingston parish sheriff's deputies for Mississippi Police.

Courtney disappeared from her Livingston Parish home last November when her mother left her home alone while she went to visit a family member in the hospital. After weeks of searching, authorities say her stepfather, Gerald "Jimmy" Bordelon, confessed to her murder and led authorities to her body near the Amite River Bridge.

9 News broke the story that Bordelon was a convicted sex offender and that Jennifer Bordelon knew of her husband's past 6 months before she married him. 9 News also uncovered a grand jury investigation in Mississippi centered around allegations that Gerald Bordelon had molested Courtney. Mississippi investigators think that Jennifer Bordelon knew about her daughter being molested and did nothing and tried to cover it up by moving from Mississippi to Louisiana to get away from that grand jury investigation.

When asked if she would testify against her husband - in the middle of her crying - Jennifer said yes. After Courtney's murder there was talk that her mother would be charged because as her neighbors put it, "she was just as guilty as her husband." Livingston Sheriff Willie Graves says they don't have enough information to charge her in the actual murder.

Jennifer Boderlon is now behind bars in Livingston Parish Prison. Livingston deputies will turn her over to Mississippi authorities tomorrow where she will face those charges pending against her there.

Last month Gerald Bordelon pleaded innocent and innocent by reason of insanity to charges of first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping of his stepdaughter. Authorities say he told them he had to kill Courtney so he wouldn't be sent back to prison for molestation. If convicted he could face the death penalty.
