Hi all,

I have alluded to this a few times in the past few weeks so it may not be much of a surprise.

We are out of TV21 matte cabinets. We have two large shipments inbound. First 40ft container(which is ALL TV21) ETA is mid August.

Due to the 6 week(ish) delay on fulfilling these order the pricing for the TV2112m will be 200 off per unit. So $2049/$3999 single/duals.

The pricing for the TV21ipal-m will be $250 off per unit. So $3049 and $5899.

20% non refundable now, balance due when we get ready to ship.

email support@powersoundaudio.com with any questions or to get in the build queue.

Also, feel free to ask any questions here as well,

Tom V.

We're doing the website links now for the following

TV21neo

TV2112

TV21ipal

All use the same matte cabinet

TV21neo and TV2112 use the same amp hardware(built in ohio ice)

TV21neo uses a new made in china 21 inch neodymium woofer.

TV21neo and TV2112 are quite similar performance wise...so close I'd be skeptical of anyone saying they could consistently pick one from the other with music or movies.

TV21ipal is a BIG upgrade in headroom over both of those. Not quite double but not too far off either.

A common question is sure to be..."why? why are you doing 3 different versions?"

Two primary reasons.

1) I'm always looking for ways to offer better values in terms of performance/price ratio. Being able to offer similar performance at 350 off(it will be 450 off once the pre order is over) and still keep the ohio built amps AND all product assembly+QC here in Ohio seems like a win.

2) I'm always more comfortable having a minimum of two OEMs suppling our big ticket components. If the euro spikes(or B&C does another price increase)...we aren't caught flat footed so to speak.

Anyway, the links

BTW, I have already gotten a couple-few communications from "non refundable" eV18 and TV24 folks...no worries if anyone wants to switch to any of these three options. Please email me, support@powersoundaudio.com

Anyone familiar with the difference between the Neo 21 and the TV2112m?

#11 ·
I wouldn't describe it that way, no. The extension of a ported sub is largely defined by the cabinet and the analog or digital signal shaping. The 4000w amp is a beast. The 21ipal is a beast(highest motor strength ever measured here Data-Bass: Subwoofer Measurements

But if you are looking for really strong extension below 10-12hz...it's probably not the best choice. Grab a couple S42 instead..:)

We will try to get better pics when time allows but here is the B&C 21 dvc next to the new china neo 21. Nothing much different in weights, looks, or performance. Just like when we began offering matte cabinets though some may be worried that this means we're discontinuing B&C options. Not at all. We just took another full container of B&C woofers in fact(a couple weeks ago).

Based on the way TV18F and TV1813 sales went I expect 1/4 to 1/3rd of total TV21(non ipal) sales to be the new less expensive neo option. Even if that does occur, the TV2112(B&C) would still be one of our top 2-3 sellers. It is just that popular..:)

Really interested in the TV21neo, but I'm afraid of the weight moving them upstairs. Might be a silly question, but would removing the driver and amp void the warranty? I would think the sub box would be down to around 100lbs or so if doable?

#14 ·
Don't remove the driver and amp. In fact don't remove the sub from the box it comes in. Roll it up the stairs one at a time. It's actually quite easy unless you have an old house with narrow, tall stairs.

Thanks all. As of this morning joined the preorder list for a TV21neo. This "should" be the final missing sonic link in my home theater.

#20 ·
The TV21neo-m is going to end up just like the first eV18 and TV24 subs---a whole lot of people saying "darn it I SHOULD have jumped on 1699/3299!"

I'm still not sure if the idea of TV2112m performance at 1699/3299(shipped!) is fully registering..:)

Nothing approaches that price level and performance, once you get over the thought of it going upstairs ;) I'm buying a cheap rope block and tackle and once looped around a pipe or 2x4's just inside the door of the upper landing, should be easy work bringing the box up. Plan to wrap the box in a moving blanket to keep the stairs from getting chewed up.

IMO PSA offers INCREDIBLE bang for the buck and output in comparison to the competition (DIY need not apply here). FOUR 21" deep tuned Ported powered subs for little more than the cost of a pair of SVS PB16 ULTRA subs. SVS PB16 ULTRA subs are $2600 "on sale". That's $5200 plus tax and I'm assuming free shipping (5800 to me). 2 of these are only a few hundred less than I paid for four 21"s. Hats offer to Tom for providing incredible value.

The performance per dollar of PSA subs has always been incredibly high. This new round of 21neo drivers seems to push pricing to or below DIY levels, yet unlike DIY, you have beautiful cabinets, expert DSP and warranty coverage for everything for 5 years. Pretty amazing stuff.

Concur strongly which is why I bought. Was looking to go END game sub for me. I'm not a home theater guy (although I can, appreciate and enjoy others systems), I'm a 2 channel HIFI guy that also enjoys movies in the same system.

#33 ·
BTW, how do I post my entire system in my signature like most do here? On a phone, converted to desktop version, see no way to do so

On my tablet you click your avatar, account settings, signature. On my android phone select profile settings, your account, signature. Edit the field and save.

click on the PB10 link I posted there to see a good lowdown on performance. I think these were 379-399 shipped for the first year or so.

this is 20 years ago(?) ish. That performance and price can't be matched today afaik? true 17-18hz quasi-anechoic?

But we might be able to say that about other designs I did too I suppose? I mean what was the original PB13u? $1400? I can't remember. $1400 now...well the eV1513m is about the same price. I think the 3 I remember most might be pb10, pb13, B4+

All for very different reasons..:)

Yes, all nice work and it continues. I retired from R&D some time ago but appreciate a similar passion for perfection.

Latest cabinet/containers ETA is 8-18 to Ohio. So I will start emailing with balance due links to everyone in the next 3-5 days. Thanks to all for your patience. Also, we are considering a little bit of a deeper sale on the TV21ipal-m. I made a couple of inventory over-sights and we just realized we have about 100 21ipal woofers and 55 or so 4000 watt amps in stock..:) So anyone on the fence about ordering a couple of TV21ipal-m...now's not bad timing to send me an email. support@powersoundaudio.com

Tom: Any news to share on potential first ship dates?

#52 ·
I'll be able to update tomorrow. Last update(about 36-48 hours ago) said the entire order would be in Cleveland over the weekend. If so, we'll get it end of day Monday or Tuesday. But let me discuss with them in the morning, thanks.

newest update is friday(8-23) +/- one business day.

seems the train ride is taking longer then they predicated in their communications last week. (this one landed at a west coast port and is riding the rails to ohio.

sorry for the delay but I will keep it all updated/transparent as we can along the way. We have so many things already ready for these. I'd say shipping 16-21 a day should be doable. So catching up on 100+ back orders won't take too long.

Tom: Thanks for the update. In my case, the delay is just fine given being away next week so looking at the week of Labor Day anyhow.

I hope the upcoming Longshoreman's strike threat (East Coast, Gulf) won't impact you much next month. At least these will sneak in under that impending wire ;)

Cabinets are scheduled to be on site at PSA Monday morning. By the time we unload 200+ one at a time(we don't palletize the boxes so we can fit more into each 40ft container to reduce the cost per unit for shipping to us) we may not be able to begin shipments same day. So say Tuesday. I would say 16-18 a day once we start assembly. So maybe 7-10 days to get all the way through the current back order list. The first 4-5 days we'll probably switch between doing Neo all day and the 2112 all day.

Thanks again to everyone for their patience. The original ETA back in June was "mid august" iirc. So the 26th isn't missing by too much...still....no one likes even a little delay on new toys..:)
