Very pretty hand painted enamel and silver pendant made by Ronald Smith Enamels has been beautifully decorated with flowers the pendant measures approx. 0.75" long by 0.5" wide and is hallmarked on the back and the siver chain measures approx. 16" long and is in excellent condition in presentation box. Please see below for History of Ronald Smith Enamels Check out my other items ! History of Ronald Smith Enamels In 1974/5 Ronald Smith had many hobbies including art, photography and enamelling. He saw that many excellent enamelled boxes were being made, often having limited editions of say 50 or 500, some using outline transfers which were then hand-coloured ---still correctly described as "hand-painted". There appeared to be very few enamelled items made which could be described as having "A Limited Edition of One". A challenging financial and logistic concept? Ronald co-opted a neighbour who was an extremely competent artist in both oils and watercolours. Together they worked to solve the problems involved in transferring her ability to paint in those more conventional media at normal sizes, say 24"x 15", into hand-painted enamels of, initially, ¾" ( 19mm) diameter.
