Given the impacts that the Polaris Dawn mission is poised to have on commercial spaceflight, we asked each of the crew members, @rookisaacman, @KiddPoteet, @annawmenon and @Gillis_SarahE, what they envision as the next major breakthroughs in commercial spaceflight and the impact they and the @PolarisProgram will have towards reaching those goals. Watch what they told us below👇🏾 Full video on the Polaris Dawn mission: youtube.com/watch?v=K_fyMaO1…

Quarantine continues…so appreciative of Elon’s message to the team yesterday emphasizing the criticality of making our safety his and @SpaceX #1 priority. Makes me even more confident strapping in. @PolarisProgram
We are grateful to all our friends, family, and supporters who have come out to @NASAKennedy for the launch. The best aerospace engineers in the world are working on the issue, and we promise to put on a great show soon enough!

An incredible amount of work has gone into this historic mission by an amazing team. We are triple-checking everything to make sure there is nothing more we can do to improve crew safety.
More time in quarantine to prepare is never a bad thing. We’re well-informed on the issue and resolution. It’s immensely comforting to have the full support of @SpaceX & leadership, including Elon, ensuring mission's safety. When the call comes, we won’t hesitate to strap in.
While it’s a bummer to not step into a launch attempt tonight, I’m very proud of the team for identifying an issue and then digging in. Nothing is more important than the safety of our astronauts and the reliability of our vehicles and operation.

I always appreciate @SpaceX ‘s diligence and commitment to not fly until we are ready. We will try again tomorrow!

Teams are taking a closer look at a ground-side helium leak on the Quick Disconnect umbilical. Falcon and Dragon remain healthy and the crew continues to be ready for their multi-day mission to low-Earth orbit. Next launch opportunity is no earlier than Wednesday, August 28 → spacex.com/launches/mission/…
We’re officially scrubbed for today, but the @SpaceX team is doing awesome work to ensure all systems are 100% ready for launch!

The NYSE wishes the Polaris Dawn team safe travels in their launch with @SpaceX, led by mission commander and @Shift4 Founder Jared Isaacman! (NYSE: $FOUR) @rookisaacman
A huge milestone in human spaceflight, Polaris Dawn will not only see humans travel the farthest away from Earth since Apollo 17 in 1972 but also conduct the first-ever commercial spacewalk. An extensive overview by Sawyer Rosenstein (@thenasaman). nasaspaceflight.com/2024/08/…

It takes a massive team effort to bring a mission like Polaris Dawn to life. Together, we’re making incredible progress for the future—both in space and here on Earth. We can do both.

T-1 day! This one’s for the @SpaceX team. From day one to T-1, I have been awed by their demonstration of how to dream big, persevere, and build a better future. This photo, taken during quarantine on our last day at SpaceX, offers just a small glimpse into the incredible team of people behind the Polaris Dawn mission.

All systems are looking good for tomorrow’s Falcon 9 launch of Polaris Dawn. Webcast will go live ~3.5 hours ahead of liftoff on Tuesday, August 27 → spacex.com/launches/mission/…

The @PolarisProgram mission readiness review just finished and we are currently go for launch in just over 24 hours. Crew safety is absolutely paramount and this mission carries more risk than usual, as it will be the furthest humans have traveled from Earth since Apollo and the first commercial spacewalk! If any concerns arise, the launch will be postponed until those concerns are addressed.
Polaris Dawn and SpaceX completed a full rehearsal of launch day activities ahead of liftoff on Tuesday

Its a big EVA window but the @PolarisProgram account should be putting out updates as we get closer.
