Bournemouth’s Jaidon Anthony undergoing medical ahead of Burnley loan

Bournemouth winger Jaidon Anthony is undergoing a medical ahead of joining Burnley on a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Leeds United in the Championship, making 38 appearances and scoring two goals.

Burnley are in the process of strengthening their squad before the deadline after a number of exits in recent weeks, and the potential for more.

Wide midfield was an area that needed addressing after the departures of Wilson Odobert and Anass Zaroury. Fellow attackers Mike Tresor, Manuel Benson and Zeki Amdouni are also the subject of external interest.

Burnley rejected a £20million package from Wolverhampton Wanderers for star winger Luca Koleosho last week.

Scott Parker’s side are also set to complete a permanent deal for Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri and they are interested in a loan deal for Brighton attacker Jeremy Sarmiento.

Belgium international defender Ameen Al-Dakhil, meanwhile, has joined German club Stuttgart on a permanent basis after making 17 appearances for Burnley last season.

As a Leeds fan I hope he didn’t learn too much from Summerville last season 😅
