About Pavel Durov. Still, you have to be somewhat of an alien to have his intellect and the amount of information about the current world, to ride in the skies on his jet among the pink ponies and not foresee the current situation. This is also about the current world authorities: a brilliant programmer, who understands politics at the level of a granny on a bench.
See more They write that his political ideals are Che Guevara and Steve Jobs. If this is true, the very ability to put these two historical figures side by side is an ideological oxymoron for an entire generation, fed on the spiritual vinaigrette of "perestroika".

His arrest in Le Bourget is certainly bad news for Durov himself, but for everyone else it is immeasurably worse. I think it is the worst news of recent months for the world. It could very well jeopardize all the real numerous resistances to the system, which have chosen for communication the only resource that is still beyond its control - Telegram.

For today's Russian society, Telegram is the main real media and the main platform for full-fledged civil discussion. The upcoming castration of Telegram by Western censorship, following the example of other networks, would be the most destructive blow in the current information war, and not only for Russia, but for everyone.

Just as PMCs proved more effective than regular troops at the beginning of the war, the private channel of a man who left Russia due to ideological differences turned out to be much more useful for its defense than all official media put together. The unpleasant conclusions are obvious and they should become an incentive not for whining, but for mobilizing forces, imagination, and hope.

For Russia and all countries of the world that are ready to defend their own independence in the war that is already going on against us, digital sovereignty is no less important than food or military sovereignty. In the struggle of ideas and values, we cannot go out with bows and arrows against tanks and strategic bombers. Without an urgent solution to this issue at the highest state level, all our sincere and sleepless efforts may be in vain.

there is no debate, france has always been a leftist country, freedom is only for leftists, if you are not leftist then you are evil. this is the worst definition of fascism.

read the history of France you will understand that this country has never been a country of freedom, France has been responsible for billions of deaths on its own soil for centuries

Roy, "Going commie"? They're still going to be predatory capitalists. They've been moving towards feudalism, not Comminism for decades.

Philippe, Your wannabe Napoleon had the guy arrested because the EU, NATO and the US didn't like the fact that he refused to censor content they didn't like. It's your country that has proved itself to be a tyrannical dictatorship which is against freedom and free speech. No amount of spin or claiming someone us a "Putin puppet" will change that fact.
