I enjoyed this demo, although some might find it hard to call it Final Fantasy, as it really feels like Western Action RPG. I guess this is where the series is going now (looking at you FF7R). I'm not against it, as it feels fun to play but I would like to see FF going back to its roots at some point.

Soundtrack is amazing, this was never an issue with FF games, Soken delivered.

For technicals, I know that a lot of people seems to have issues with performance but for me it worked like a charm, had zero real issues.
100+ FPS on highest settings with FG and DLAA enabled on 4070Ti and 12700K. I'm using 560.81 NVidia drivers.
Cutscenes are locked to 30FPS and sometimes might drop a little but framerate during combat was stable all the time.
In general for me it seems like it's a good port for SE standards, considering how they butchered port of Chrono Cross for example.

I will buy the full game for sure.
I bought it.

The graphics are soapy, my 2060 is getting old for new games, the world isn't fair, but... just look at this good boy!

I'll just leave this wonderful puppy here:

Runs great! Solid 60 on High using FSR with FG on. Was expecting crashes and stutters but nothing really. Combat looks and plays sick just like the Devil May Cry Series. Also, I think the story is cool and interesting. Music is also great. Skipped most cutscenes to avoid spoilers.

The only thing that bothers me at the moment is the space required on SSD and no Ultrawide support.

The game is great. If you claim it's not "final fantasy" enough, then you're rеtarded. If you're bothered by 30fps cutscenes, you need to turn off your fps counter and play the fuсking game, because it's really not an issue. I say that as someone who prefers all their games at 144-170fps. Haven't had a single stutter or performance issue at ultra settings. If you are, then that's your fault for buying an AMD GPU. The graphics look fine too, just turn off motion blur. I haven't seen a single scene that would qualify as a "vaseline-smeared painting" either.
Literally every single issue you fаggots are complaining about is not there or barely qualifies as a problem.

I am going to recommend the demo, well, because it's free. All of the complaints about the technical aspects are correct. The game did crash during the first cutscene until I updated my drivers, During cutscenes, the game looks really blurry, and does stutter. The gameplay also had very slight stuttering and no matter what graphics settings I used, i could never get the game to run smoothly OR look good. The game also wouldn't use most of my GPU, CPU, or Ram, so I had no idea why it was bottlenecked. However a lot of this criticism is comparing to the PS5 version of the game. The combat was fun, even the late game combat that you can try in the demo. The story is very enticing. I would recommend anyone that wants to try FF16 to try the demo first to see if you can deal with the flaws. I would not recommend the base game to most people if it keeps this poor level of optimisation(even if I myself will still be buying it).

As someone who's beaten the main game on PS5 with all side quests and Hunt Boards, let me tell you, I friggin LOVE this game. I'd even say this is one of my favorite games in a LONG time. Given that sentiment, I think this port does absolutely NO justice and feels like a spit in the face to a game I (and probably several other diehards) feel should receive the treatment of a dignified king.

PROS:
+ Default keybindings are decent.
+ Gameplay segment performance is a much needed, drastic improvement over PS5's struggling "Performance" Mode.
+ Gameplay itself is as solid as ever, mixing Devil May Cry's intensive, combo oriented gameplay and FINAL FANTASY's tactical approach.
+ Soundtrack is AWESOME. Like, PHENOMENAL.

CONS:
- Textures and shading are AWFUL. Like, not even laughably bad, just painfully; edges and shadows are too muddy and smoothed out, there's no anti-aliasing on/off option; nothing pops out and it fails to do justice to this game's dynamic backgrounds and spectacle-oriented gameplay.
- Cutscenes: Locked at 30 fps, but given this game's cinematic nature and different rendering technology compared to the game itself, is fine. As much as I hate 30fps, I feel this was an intentionally aesthetic choice. However, the massive amounts of stuttering and frame dips during CUTSCENES of ALL things is NIGH UNACCEPTABLE, ESPECIALLY for both a AAA budget AND a game that is HEAVILY story-and-cutscene-oriented.
- ZERO PC optimization options outside resolution, fullscreen mode, refresh rate, preset and antialiasing. No freedom for visual and performance optimization at ALL. Probably the most-insultingly least amount of options in a AAA game.

This isn't Square Enix's worst port, but a game this ambitious (and good) should be treated better. $50 for Standard and $70 for Complete won't do this game justice if the game looks this awful and the cutscenes (in a STORY HEAVY game) are this poorly optimized.

Performance in a Ryzen 5600 and RX 7600: not good.

- Unplayable without using FSR (below 30FPS) even in Low Preset.
- Game looks BLURRY AS HELL with FSR on.
- A LOT of stuttering, especially in cutcenes.
- Fixed 30FPS in cutcenes.
- 100% GPU usage, 10% CPU usage... What the ♥♥♥♥.

I'm hoping it will be fixed in time. Until then, cannot recommend purchase.

Fix your damn game, Square.

Sqaure Enix really made PC players wait 1 Year and 2 months for:
-30 fps cutscenes with HUGE stutters
-trash dlss implementation.
-Game looks Blurry as $hit even at 1440p
-game volume too low even on max volume
-game doesn't fully compile shaders
-Anisotropic filtering is broken
-No Ultrawide Support

Another Trash port from Sqaure Enix.

The game is Great......on PlayStation 5. Why does the Demo run so bad to the point the game even crashes in the opening cut-scene? Optimize the actual game before release and don't let it be like the Demo. Its horrible. Also why do the TEXTURES look so bad? My Specs arent the best , but I can run games like Elden Ring , RDR2 and FF14 just fine. Clearly , the PC release is not ready.

You have time to fix the port , do it.

Really enjoyed the demo, played well for me, no hiccups, run smooth as at 4k, and looks gorgeous, never really been into final fantasy games, but after playing this, it inched that spot where i want in!

This Port is the Extremliest Broken, Laziest, Unfinished PC Port i ever seen:

-30 FPS Cutscene with Extreme Stutters
-Denuvo DRM clapped on the Full Version and the Demo Version, which Performs alot worse and Stutters much more than that.
-No way to disable the Blurry Mess, even on 1080p, 100% Forced TAA and 100% Forced Depth of Field
-Price Tag for 70 Euro for a Complete Edition and the 50 for the base game isnt even Justified and expensive for this unfinished mess
-More Stutters
-Even Stuttering while Fighting Mobs
-S***ty Optimisations
-Menu Stutter extremly much aswell
-And yeah, Crashing
-Non Widescreen like 1280x1024 support arent there aswell.

I wouldnt ever wasting money for broken games like this one!
Theres more better alternative games, that they made much better than this one.

Even my Favorite Game has not those issues.

Not a bad demo. The graphics require messing with and if you want the best experience, the hardware does matter for this game. I have a 3060 RTX on a Ryzen 5800X3D with NVMe M.2. The game loads fast on my system. I was able to use Dlaa on 1080p getting 60fps. Runs smooth like a kitten. DLSS and dynamic focuses more on systems that are more close to the minimum requirements and may require better hardware. Dlaa focuses more on quality for systems that can handle higher performance. Maybe in the future, they will allow higher fps for higher resolutions as people try the demo on their systems. The PS5 is a powerful system and bringing it to pc with different hardwares out there can be like throwing a needle in the haystack.

The graphics are absolutely awful.
The technology of this company is underdeveloped.
This company does not have the capacity to make AAA.
Frame drops, rustic modeling, and low-resolution graphics are really hard to see.
Now this company is really bad at making games.
RPG is not just a repetition. (Grinding)
Game has no depth.

Here’s what you need to do:
1. Open the config.xml file in a text editor (like Notepad).
2. Look for the section that says windowType_ v="1". Ensure that the value is set to "1" (which indicates windowed mode).
3. Modify the following sections to match your display's resolution:
width_ v="3440"
height_ v="1440"
4. Save the file and close the editor.
