Useful and thanks for making, but please provide an option show the current immediately instead of showing "measuring" for several seconds. The Android API immediately indicates the current.
Technical info: The displayed current is an average value from 50 measurements minus the 10 upper values and the 10 lower values. The displayed current can be shaky or unstable or even just zero which means, that the Android system provides such unstable values. Some phones, like the Nexus 4 reports such unstable wide spreading readings when charged with a low current charger (e.g. 500mA), that even the average value is just a joke.
On older phones (2013 and earlier) the reading used to be unstable (sometimes the API of the Galaxy S4 indicated over 10000 mA, which is impossible), but on modern phones, the reading usually is stable. This can be seen in "Battery Monitor Widget" by CCC71.
Also, please provide an option to show
wattage. It appears Samsung and Xiaomi divide the wattage by 5 volts, regardless of which voltage and current is delivered by the charger. For example, if a smartphone actually charges with 9V 2A, meaning 18 W, the API indicates 3.6 A, which would be 18 watts at 5 volts, even though the charger is delivering 9 volts.
Perhaps this is done for compatibility because apps assume that the USB voltage is always around 5 volts, even when that is no longer the case.
If possible, show the voltage provided by the USB charger, which is completely different from the battery's internal terminal voltage, but I am assuming there is no API for USB voltage.
