Not sure if this is public, but the current plan for Crew-9, if they launch with two astronauts as a rescue mission for Starliner, is to fly with Zena Cardman as commander and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov as pilot. NASA needs to continue to make crew rotations with Roscosmos.

I wonder, does this mean Gorbunov will need additional training to operate Dragon?

As I’m working on a painting today, I’m reminded Saturn’s northern polar hexagon changes colors!Images from the Cassini spacecraft (rip) show the hexagon in June 2013 and April 2017. Blues fade as the northern hemisphere approaches summer. Increased sunlight triggers the formation of photochemical hazes (think smog) leading to a muted brownish-yellow appearance.📸: NASA/JPL-Caltech/SSI/Hampton University

Artificial gravity could spare space travelers the bone and muscle problems associated with weightlessness. But would spinning space stations cause motion sickness? At today's press conference with the crew of the upcoming Polaris Dawn commercial space mission, Anna Menon said, "Scientists think that when you go to space, you might be less impacted by that disorientation that comes from spinning required for artificial gravity. So, we will test that hypothesis." (Photo credit: Polaris Program)

So in reading the NVIDIA preprint (as reported byat Axios) for their new storm-scale AI model, this is exciting. I'm especially excited by the ensemble potential of this. Future work is critical to push this along. Potential is huge though.axios.com/2024…
