MARICOPA — A driver was killed after their pickup truck veered into the median on State Route 347, causing it to roll over.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the incident took place at 2:47 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of SR 347 and Riggs Road. The pickup truck was the only vehicle involved and the driver was the only occupant.

The Arizona Department of Transportation closed the southbound lanes of SR 347 at 5:18 a.m. and the lanes reopened about a half hour later.
