5:10 It'll be a while still. Here it's a legal requirement to keep papers on your accounting for 7 years. So any invoices and reciepts you receive physically needs to be in a binder somewhere. Of course you don't need to print everything that's electronic to paper. But some accountants are very old.

This feels like Code Red all over again. Just worse as you don't even need IIS.

As much as Apple gets grilled for their unethical/deceptive business practices, it always amazes me that Microsoft doesn’t get as much (if not more) heat for making products that are outright dangerous to use

Hot on the heals of the CVE I received from Home Depot twice since in 24 hours where I'm informed my new Samsung Electric cooker can burn my house down if the stars align and I or the cat brush up against it.

Microsoft is singlehandedly making Linux slowly become mainstream. That's quite a feat.

I still think the crazy part about finding this for me was the fact that I found out about it from a reply to an imageboard post about Windows 10 Calculator. Congrats, Micro$oft, you finally got me to update!

Most businesses don’t need ipv6. We don’t enable it for enterprises that we manage.

algorithm. It is actually funny how insanely dangerous this flaw was. Just like with the now famous Jia Tan exploit, it was almost pure luck that it was found before damage done.

Oh. Well whoever put that bug in there and has had it remain a secret for all this time got a lot of use of out it. They're probably a bit upset right about now :<

I disabled the IPv6 stack stack in Windows and in my cable modem years ago b/c I didn't want my ISP assigning me a unique, permanent, easily tracked & collated IP 3rd parties would exploit. This new IPv6 vulnerability PERFECTLY demonstrates the benefit for always reducing your attack surface by disabling unnecessary apps & services.

Let me tell ya, the manufacturing world has not moved away from printing. So many people rely on it based on how their ERP systems workflow is. It’s sad as I wish people could move away from it
