Bad experience trying to rest the PIN with PUK. Intial reading is successful but gets stuck in a weak NFC signal error after entering the PUK. Tried with multiple devices, so the problem is not with the device/ position/ case but the app.

Of course doesn't work. It's supposed to support all EU E-id cards but doesn't read mine. PS: I have been using the Italian equivalent since 2019 and it works like a charm đ Go see how the SielteId works for example and just copy it, the German government incapacity of making anything digital and simple is infuriating.

It worked fine before this "UI refresh"! Now I cannot even set my new pin or get the Ausweisapp desktop client to pair with this mobile version. I am using an somewhat older (slower) Android phone with Android 12. (Fairphone 3) The NFC chip works, the tests in the app are all green. Yet I cannot get a stable reading of my eID card. It seems that the app process times out too fast and the error handling is incorrect. The app should try again to read from NFC instead of throwing the error.
