Some smartphones have cornered rear cameras, some have centered rear cameras.

History

While iPhones always had cornered rear cameras, Samsung implemented centered rear cameras for around a decade (2011 - 2019). With the Note 10, released in late 2019, they switched back to cornered rear cameras.

HTC and LG (no longer producing phones) only had centered rear cameras. Sony switched inbetween. While the Xperia S, P, and V had a centered rear camera, the Z series had a cornered rear camera for many years.

My preference

I clearly prefer cornered cameras. Since the lenses are at a higher position while holding the phone horizontally, there is more space to place the fingers of the left hand without covering the lenses, so a corner camera smartphone can be held more comfortably.

Corner cameras are also better for macro shots since you can get closer to the ground by holding the phone horizontally upside down.

Now I'd be curious to hear your opinion.

The choice between cornered or centered rear cameras largely depends on individual preferences and specific use cases. Cornered rear cameras often provide a wider field of view, which can be advantageous for parking and maneuvering in tight spaces. On the other hand, centered rear cameras typically offer a more straightforward and consistent view of the area directly behind the vehicle, which can be beneficial for aligning with parking lines and improving overall safety.

For those looking to integrate advanced camera systems into their projects or enhance their technical skills related to such technologies, engaging with the best IT training institute in Lahore can be incredibly valuable. These institutes offer specialized courses that can provide deeper insights into camera technology and its applications, equipping you with the knowledge to make informed decisions based on your specific needs.

These cameras, honestly, have the best photo capturing with clarity and detailing, which feels premium. Whether it is any other major mobile brand or model, the rear camera never fails to amaze. The technology used by these cameras basically outlines the richness of colors and sharpens the details of every subject, making them so versatile for clicking any kind of picture.

It is particularly good at bringing to life the natural beauty of greenery, evident in views of lawns and landscapes. Colors are bright, and minute details of plants, flowers, and designs on your garden are so well rendered that they almost come alive in your photos. Usually, I use my back camera to document the landscaping design at my home here in Chandler, Arizona.

Chandler Landscaping Company did a perfect job in my yard, and the pictures I take with the back camera prove that. The clear, crisp photos detail everything luscious green lawns and ingeniously structured plant arrangements making it easy to appreciate the finesse that goes into the making of such beauty.

Whether it is capturing the everyday or bringing out the beauty of a well-designed landscape, a rear camera becomes an extremely important tool to capture great photos that any user may be proud of.
