Reliance and Disney offer to sell some channels to alleviate antitrust concerns

Reliance and Walt Disney are willing to sell some of their TV channels to secure faster approval for their $8.5 billion mega merger from Indiaโ€™s antitrust watchdog, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

According to the news agency, the two conglomerates are willing to sell fewer than 10 TV channels. However, the concessions are for regional language channels, where the two have significant market share. But both have resisted changes to the lucrative cricket broadcast rights.
