I recently tried Veloren. Really impressed with the terrain generation. I hope they add quests soon, and maybe more combat mechanics, but what's there already looks really impressive.

That's a long list. I can only tell about Beyond All Reason shares same engine with Zero-K, but just more Total Annigilation like and more beautiful ghaphically.

Hello guys! Thanks for your comments. I found another piece of news. We are pleased to announce that Overgrowth's code is now open source! Only the code is getting open sourced, not the art assets or levels, the reason is that we don't want someone to build and sell Overgrowth as their own. We're using the Apache 2.0 license, which allows you to do whatever you want with the code, with very few obligations. Itโ€™s easy to compile and run the official Overgrowth game using the open source code, so you don't need a lot of technical knowledge to get started. To be clear, this is not โ€œthe next big engineโ€. Since great open source game engines like Godot exist, using Overgrowthโ€™s engine for your next game project is a bad choice in almost all cases.

"Boring stuff like Linux." Hold my tea. XD BTW, I'm an open source game dev myself. My own current game is SuperTux Advance, similar to classic SuperTux, but with some Megaman and Sonic elements mixed in. I'd also like to recommend my recent favorite, Sulphur Nimbus, an adventure game with amazing flight mechanics.

I tried saurbraten, but i couldnt get into it...there wasnt much gun variety, i didnt like the guns, when you fragged someone you didnt get that impact , that feel, it lacked that punch that quake 3 or even warfork/warsow has, or even xonotic. Saurbraten guys please do something about it. It has potential
