Russian Roman Seleznev, who served a sentence in North Carolina and returned to his homeland in a prisoner exchange, said that he was almost killed in an American prison.

During his 10 years of imprisonment, Seleznev changed several prisons .He says that all the prisoners there have knives. And there was not a single day when someone did not kill someone.

Zakharova called on the United States to impose sanctions against the prison where Seleznev was held.

“I almost fainted. They didn’t tell us anything, who was meeting us, what was happening,” Roman Seleznev said in an interview with Izvestia.

According to him, he “was in shock” when he saw Putin near the plane.

“Talking to him, I felt simply human emotions. When you see him on TV, that’s one thing, but when he talks to you in person, you understand that he cares about everyone,” Seleznev noted.
