I Checked Back on the Niche Sites I Sold a Year Ago, and I’m Surprised

This is different from what I had in mind it will happen to them.

Almost a year ago, I sold all my niche websites.

I had five niche websites, and only two were getting decent traffic. The new Google updates ruined one of them. This made me take the drastic decision to quit building niche websites and focus on something that doesn’t include Google’s algorithms.

Today, I decided to take a look and see what changes the new owner made.

The surprise

Spoiler alert: nothing changed. Nothing, zero, nada.

I expected to see new blog posts, improved website design, and maybe pop-ups for a newsletter. But the actual owner did none of that.

At first, I was surprised, but I think I know what’s happening.

So, why didn’t the new owner change anything?

The websites were earning money, so why spend more time and money on them? Don’t fix it if it ain’t broken.

Of course, you can add more content, improve the websites, etc. However, this person is increasing the revenue by buying more niche websites.
